This guide is part of my full Sienna Villages Guide, which compares all of Sienna’s villages side by side. For the bigger picture on the community itself, start with Moving to Sienna TX.
Quick answer: Destrehan is Sienna’s upper end. Over the last 12 months, 14 homes sold at a median of $725,000, the highest in the community, with a median size of 4,230 square feet, also the largest. Homes here were built roughly between 2015 and 2021. Inventory is thin, with 12 homes currently active, and they split into a soft band under $650,000 and a slow moving band above $1.1 million.

What Makes Destrehan Different
Destrehan occupies a specific niche in Sienna. The homes are large and relatively recent, built roughly between 2015 and 2021, which puts them between the community’s original sections and its newest phases.
For buyers who want size and modern construction but don’t want to be in a section still under active development, that middle position is the whole appeal.
A split market inside one village
Fourteen sales in a year is a small number, and Destrehan is a smaller village than its price point suggests. The more useful point is that those sales split into two groups that behave nothing alike.
The entry band is soft. Five of the twelve current listings sit between $399,900 and $630,000, all built in 2015 or 2016, all between roughly 2,850 and 3,850 square feet. Several ask less per square foot than comparable homes closed for. In fact, one asks $140 per square foot, below every closed sale in the village over the past year. A buyer who wants a Destrehan address without a seven figure budget should start here.
The upper end rewards realistic pricing. Destrehan homes above roughly $1.2 million that sold did so fast. One closed at $1,325,000 in 7 days and another at $1,647,500 in 14. By contrast, the listings now sitting above $1.1 million show 118, 119, 147 and 149 days on market. Same village, same bracket, very different outcomes.
Read the headline medians carefully for that reason. The active median in Destrehan sits well above the sold median, but that reflects where these twelve listings happen to cluster rather than a market wide jump. Sold homes reached higher prices per square foot at the top than anything currently listed.
Several days on market figures carry an asterisk in the MLS, which usually marks a relisting. As a result, true marketing time on those homes runs longer than the number shows.
Schools
Sienna’s school zoning varies by village and has shifted before, so I verify it for the exact address. My Schools in Sienna TX guide covers the current zones. Sienna sits entirely in Fort Bend ISD, and you can run a Destrehan address through the district’s own site at fortbendisd.com before you write an offer.
Is Destrehan Right for You?
Destrehan suits buyers who want the largest homes in Sienna with relatively recent construction, and who can be patient about inventory. On the other hand, buyers who need more selection will do better looking across several villages at once.
I’ve lived in Sienna since 2018. As a Broker Associate with C.R. Realty, I can tell you when something worth seeing comes up in Destrehan, which matters more here than in higher-turnover villages.
